Are you guys happy?

Thinking back. it has been quite a while since we met.
many things change. many people changed. i too, fell in to a family hell hole, family broked, quarrels were frequent and i closed up. had tried pulling myself out of the ditch.. but i wasnt ready to meet anyone and only allow the surface of me to be shown. i travelled without enjoyment. ate without satisfaction and interacted without interest. 2013 n 2014 wasnt good i was a zombie... it only till last year till i met someone. a girl who opened my heart. now im learning to love again, to escape the jail family conditions place me in, im ready to mingle like i was. i hope you guys are happy. idk if u all would even read this blog anymore. but if you both read this... i wanna say im sorry. neglecting u all and the many other friends.

anyway
Nic signing off.

A not so Alone "Alone day"

Well well. Today was a day i was trying to be alone, do my own things, walk ard shop. eat some food and properbly be a loner caught in deep thoughts.
Hmm however, 10 mins after walking out of my home, someone called out to me. "Oei, Niao ren." I ignored and carried on walking to the bus stop. Then this person went on, "Oei, don't Dao leh". I was kinda annoyed and i turned and saw this dude... vaguely his name flashed in my thoughts. Then it striked me.. OH THAT MY BED BUDDY FROM CAMP. I havent seen this guy since i left BMTC. wow that brings back memories.
Hahaha we walked and talked for another 10 mins and departed seperated ways with new numbers in our contact list.
I went to over to Nex and was hungry. so decided to try out Wendy's..
Walked in and GUESS WHO I SAW? MR BEN, Our dearest Ave's BF. LOL.
Ate and spent some time alone watching video, drawing and reading. My perfect spend some time alone was disturbed by a group of rowdy kids. TSK. Off to find something else to do. I think ended up at NTUC and did some solo shopping. Then suddenly, I saw from afar my friend from korea (studying in singapore for 10 years alr) lol. again. i chatted and spend a good solid 40 mins talking to her and her friends, and they decided to watch a movie and i tagged along. lol

The movies pretty good and Barbie Hsu (Da S) has became really beautiful after not seeing her on screen for sometime. Oh I left after the movies to head hom for dinner. :| But then, as im leaving.. HELLO MR BEN again.  LOL bumping into him again. Oh Well that concludes my not so alone "alone day".

Pulau Ubin without the Chuu

Okay guys. I expect a detailed photo log of how awesome and beautiful the trip to Ubin was.
Update prease~!

Left-in-Singapore-Chuu.

For those who are often pressed for time yet yearning a getaway to a land with fresh air and a slower pace of life, Ubin is definitely the place to visit! The moment the boat sets off, it already feels like you're somewhere else because old boats from the 60s/70s that looks rugged are rare and few these days in SIngapore, where everything needs to be new, modern and advanced. Even though we do not have blue waters, but I must say that the horizon looks gorgeous no matter which sea you're traveling on, gaze at the sky and admire how vast and open your surroundings are. It is really something to behold especially when we're constantly surrounded by skyscrapers. Upon reaching the island, you'll be greeted with fresh air and lots of bicycle rental shops and seafood places and a lot of mongrels. If you're pressed for time, lazy yet don't want to miss out on anything, I suggest you flag a local taxi and get the experts to bring you around the whole island. If you're thinking of burning a few hundred calories, rent a bicycle and start pedaling your way around!

The main purpose of our visit was Chek Jawa Wetlands. The journey to and fro was a fascinating and enjoyable experience with encounters with mushrooms, geckos, butterflies and birds but nothing could beat the feeling when exploring the mangroves and coastal area on foot. Even though we didn't manage to witness the coral bed and sea creatures due to the midday high tide, we saw tiny crabs with huge claws and tiny bodies crawling out of their burrows. We also saw fishes and wild boars/Black pigs.

Another thing I enjoyed was the people I have encountered. The boats, bicycle rentals hops and F&B outlets are all operated by middle aged and elderly folks. They are what we reckon as the 'lower educated' people yet they are so honest, hospitable and caring. They seem truly happy and free. I love watching the uncles ferrying us to and fro the island, they truly care about the passengers' safety and they seem so contented with life and their job and money doesn't seem to matter. All they need is their partner, the rugged boat and they are free to explore the seas as they please. To us, it seems like they have very little, but they seem so happy and contented. I feel really "urbanized" to always be carrying my phone with me and texting, checking the time, hoping GPS works.

I highly encourage a trip to Ubin personally to experience it all. In fact, one day isn't enough to appreciate everything the island has to offer. But words certainly doesn't do the experience justice.

Yours Truly,
Ave, still yearning for a vacation

New age relationship

Hmm whats with the relationship between ppl nowadays?
Its like back then the trend of a relationship being stuck together with a double-sided tape. Its like being a conjoined body couple. You'll be together for like almost everynow and then. But hey spot the new trend!
Couples now keep their distance, not as in distant in heart and mind. but rather, physical distant. Not meeting everyday, Not being on the phone..? Both has its plus points i mean but it boils down it each individual's need. So whats yours? Are you in need of someone being always on the other end of the phone line having every little single detail of ur life known to ur spouse or someone who wishes have have their private space and having more to talk about when u meet every other day?

Just wondering. - Nic

I've always believe in respecting individual space because I am one who needs a lot of that myself. I don't need my partner to be 24/7 be around me, neither do I need to validate our relationship through constant contact. I do not like being controlled so I do not do that to my partner as much as I can.

So... I guess I'm the latter. "someone who wishes have have their private space and having more to talk about when u meet every other day".

I think as long as I know my partner is committed to me and vice-versa, we do not have to physically be by each other's side everyday.
